Do you have an Alter Ego?  I do!!  Moi-hahahahaaaaaa  I'm an extrovert for the most part, but really... I'm an introvert that LOVES my alone time. I love quiet times, meditating and focusing on absolutely nothing but my breathing.

Well I have a VERY special review for you today and I am JAZZED to share this maker with you!!!  Her name is Cynthia, and she is the maker of Alter Ego.  She is a DOLL BABY and her polishes are EXQUISITE and GORGEOUS!!!  They speak to my softer side, which YES, I DO have a softer and quieter side.

Without further ado, let's get started... first up is Secret Lover... 

She's a secret lover because she's GORGEOUS and BAM beautiful!!!  On my accent finger I used Bubbly!  Secret Lover is a gorgeous red leaning a wee pinch of orange with the most gentle touch of golden shimmers. Bright and happy and LOVELY!!!!  Sexy lipstick red!!  I used two coats and it dries with a slight texture and a matte(ish) finish.  Slapped a top coat on and BAM!!! 

Bubbly is THE most stunning topper!!!  She is the most brilliant BLING BLING golden SHIMMAH!!!  Kicks up any mani to be ready for a nite on the town.

 Look at that SPARKLY BARKLY!!!!  You just get lost in that sea of SHIMMAH!!!

 

This July at CosmoProf, Cynthia introduced her NEW gorgeous and sexy bottles.  I LOVE them, they are so unique and BEAUTIFUL!!!!  They're curvy with those sexy cuts.

BUT, something folks may NOT know is that she ALSO reformulated her polish as well.  It used to be thicker. A great deal thicker that you could easily thin down with some 99% alcohol.  BUT... NO MORE!!!  The new formulation is SEXXXY!!!  It's smooth and goes on EASY!!!  It is easily build able, I did two coats with Secret Lover, but with the new smooth formulation I did three coats of Plumber with no extra drying time. BAM!!!

Here is Plumber.  Same new buttery smooth formula, very build able and SO PRETTY!!!!     Plumber also dries to a soft matte and gentle texture finish.  I slapped on some top coat, and smoothed her out just a pinch. I  apologize, I LOVE the natural texture of polishes, so I used CND Speedy top coat, which doesn't give that HIGH GLOSS finish.  I love the finish you see below.  BAM!!!

How gorgeous is SHE!!!  A soft periwinkle with the most gentle of purple shimmers.  GORGEOUS!!!  I get lost in that stunning SHIMMAH SHIMMAH!!! 

In the bottle you can see that sexxxy purple SHIMMAH that my nails can't seem to capture quite right.

I am SO IN LOVE!!!!  She is SO beautiful. Different and unique.  More of a gentle softer color.  

Now something else I HAVE to talk about before I wrap this up.  You WILL see separation in your bottle. GET OVER IT.  Seriously, separation is NOT indicative of BAD polish.  No no NO!!!  It only means that the heavily pigmented polish is heavier than the base.  That's it.  There is NO reason to cause drama or freak out.  It happens. Expect it.

So here... I grabbed these out of my stash... these are all MAINSTREAM polishes, that you ALL have used and ALL love.  You don't go boo hoo-ing to them that their polish separated.  You shake shake shake, shake it UP!!! lol

The great thing about Cynthia's new bottles is that you can turn it upside down, place it on its lid and let it remix itself a bit.  If you have troubles with your wrists, after you turn it upside down you can just roll it on its side a few times.  EASY BREEZY!!  Or... just shake shake shake... shake it UP!!!!

Darling Diva Polish, Hug My Face Collection

Just hug ME!!  You can hug my waist, you can hug my neck, or you can Hug My FACE!!!!  I'm a lover not a fighter and I LOVE the name of Darling Diva's newest collection that launches TODAY!!!!!  Yes, TODAY!  How about those apples, you don't need to even remember, just set an alarm on your smart phone... 7 pm CENTRAL (that's 5 pm pacific, 6 pm mountain and 8 pm eastern).  Don't say you had no idea.  Hug My Face was inspired by the movie series Alien.

So I am just going to jump into things because I received 8 of the 10 GORGEOUS colors to review.... and this is PHOTO HEAVY!!! If you could gain weight from photos, after this, we would ALL be chubby!!!

So let's start out with Mother...

She's the most beautiful soft whitened grey with a gentle yet stunning HOLO!!!!!  I used two coats with a top coat and WOWZA!!!!  Perfect formula!  Instantly IN LOVE!!!

Look at her... how can you NOT fall in love HER!!!

The next one is a STUNNER!!!!  You ready??  Game Over, Man ...  this is her BAM!!!

See what I mean... STOP right where you are and just take that in!!!  LOOK at EVERYTHING going on here!!!

She's has HOLO... she has GLITTER... and she has FLAKIES!!!!  A gorgeous cherry red jelly with all that goodness just floating about!!!  Wowza!!!!  I have two coats and a top coat, she drives to a gentle texture but you can slap a second top coat on her and she glosses right up!!! Perfect formula even with all that going on inside of there!!  Seriously, I get sucked RIGHT IN!!!!

You ready?  Are you sitting down, standing may be deemed a hazard at this rate... I have LOTS MORE TO TEASE YOU WITH!!!!

Next up... Long Live the Queen!   Yes... her majesty...

I told you, sit down friends!!!  Look at her. She has a real jewel tone quality about her!  She is THE MOST STUNNING deep teal jelly base with iridescent flakies and HOLO just lollygagging saying LOOK AT ME!!!! 

Two coats and a top coat... and STUNNING!!  Gorgeous formula, smooth and silky. You need to make a REAL effort to keep your eyes on the ROAD and NOT your nails with her... at this rate, the Queen will NEVER die!!!  I might, but she won't!


I'm just jumping RIGHT in.... A-ffirmative.  Yes, it is AFFIRMATIVE that she is GORGEOUS!!!  This one... ugh, she GLOWS from within!!!  THE most stunning bright sky blue with HOLO and the sofest pink shimmer SHIMMER!!!!  

She just GLOWS!!!  She's not a neon, at ALL but she is so bright and beautiful!! The HOLO is STUNNING and I could NOT make that pink shimmah SHIMMAH say hello, she was being bashful.  You can see it gently in the bottle above.  Bashful baby!!!

It's like THE most perfect summer day... remember when you were a kid, laying on your back in the grass just daydreaming about the clouds being shapes.  That most PERFECT blue.  Right here.  A-ffirmative!!!!

So gorgeous... stunning... I am SO IN LOVE with her!!! (blues and browns are my BIGGEST weakness!!!)  Again, two coats with a top coat and the beautiful formula we all know and love.

At this point, you can stop hugging my face and JUST HUG ME!!!!!  Do you FEEL THE LOVE?!?!?  Ugh, Carrie is amazing... AMAZING!!!  I die.

If you haven't passed out from all the WOWZA... brace yourself.  In Space, No One Can Hear you Scream

BAM!!  Just like that and THERE she is!!!  STUNNING!!! I can get LOST in there!! And it does look like outer space....  black jelly with HOLO.. and blue/green GLITTERS... and FLAKIES!! OH MY!!!

She is two coats with a top coat... dries to a slight texture, but if you apply a second top coat it is as SMOOTH as a baby's bottom!!!  I get LOST!!!  I feel like a broken record but I'll say it... formula was perfect! FLAWLESS!!!

Gorgeous... I hope you are taking notes... and it is TONITE at 7pm central time you can buy her and all the rest of these lovelies!!!!

One of my absolute FAVORITE color combinations are brown and pink. Period... I was never a big pink fan until just recently but I have ALWAYS adored brown and pink together.  Like peanut butter and chocolate, they just BELONG together.   With Did IQs Just Drop Sharply While I Was Away is NOTHING short of SEXXXY!!!!  Do you see her???  LOOK!!!!   My IQ just dropped!!

THE PERFECT mixture here!!!  She's the most drop DEAD brown jelly... and then she is CHOKED FULL of  HOLO and PINK/PURPLE FLAKIES!!!  Ugh... I'll try to stop screaming, but I can NOT control myself!

I did NOT want to take her off! Two coats, top coat PERFECT smooth formula!!!

She is so absolutely LOVELY!!!  You NEED HER friends!! NEED!!!  Tell the spouses, it's not a matter of want, you can live on ramen noodles for a short time period.  It's hearty.  LOL

Are you ready for Bad Ass?  Yes, that's her NAME... Bad Ass and she is nothing NOTHING short of being a BAD ASS!!

Beautiful Bad Ass... that's why I love her!!  Black with a gentle HOLO... holla HOLO!!!  She's gorgeous.

Two coats, buttery formula and top coat.  Nothing short of a BAD ASS polish!!  At this point, if you ARE taking notes... yes, you need NEED THEM ALL!!!  Moi-hahahahaaaaaa  Oh, and yes, two coats with a top coat. Flawless buttery formula.

And last but not least... I saved my absolute FAVORITE for last.  I like going out with a BANG!!

Xenomorph is GORGEOUS!!!  SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!  AND the BACK DOOR!!!

Do you see her??  Do you see that beautiful gorgeousness!?!?!?   LOOK!! ! Ok, just sit down and focus with me.
Two coats... top coat.  She is PERFECT formula. Buttery smooth and I die.   Black jelly base with those amazing shifty flakies... I capture best the blue/green/teal and those shifty micro glitters that also do that same blue/teal/green/raspberry shifty business.  In the macro you can see towards the south edge the raspberry starting to pop, but dagnabit I could NOT get the raspberry to show up better in my pics!!!

I wore her for TWO days, which for me is a WHILE!!!  *sigh*  I couldn't stop staring and admiring her. TOOK MY BREATH AWAY!! And even as I sit here writing this up, I can't get enough of her.  lol

So, I can't even say "that's it" because there is nothing short of amazing-ness going on here.  That is the end of my 8 shades to share with you.  To tease and taunt you with.  But, again TONITE they launch, the full collection, including the 2 I did not receive for review.   You can own them all and stare longingly at your own nails, instead of mine.  LOL

There has been an awful lot of negativity clouding my air space in the indie nail polish world, because of one bad apple.  Mentality.  But you know what, a friend of mine and fellow blogger said enough is ENOUGH!!! And dagnabit... that negativity ends RIGHT HERE and RIGHT NOW!!!!

Indie nail polish is my passion, it brings me so much joy.  To sit down with a sea of colorful sparkles in front of me and just slap some onto my nails.  No expectations, but you know what, that shit makes me HAPPY!!!  Not at all in a materialistic I "gotta have it all" way (well that's another story for another day LOL)... but in a simple creative outlet.  My natural nails are growing and have never looked so damn good. And you know WHY?? Because of all of the indie makers that MAKE GREAT POLISH!!!  They follow the rules, they are on the up and up. They disclose the materials and products in their little bottles of art.

And you know what?!?! I am not letting ONE BAD APPLE damage my Indie nail polish TREE!!!

So the HECK with 'em!!!

So check it out friends...  here are some of my absolute FAVORITE FAVORITE brands that I LOVE and adore!!! No worries, don't fret, I have NOT forgotten about you friends, nor have I forgotten about our NINJA miniseries!!! I just like to keep you in suspense a little. See if you're paying attention and if you want more.  Well, YES, of COURSE you want more!!!

So tonite I decided I'm just going to give you the REST!! ALL six remaining beauties. NO, you still do NOT get to hear the how and the why and the true actual shenanigans... BUT you can see the last six beauties waiting for you to purchase. IF you didn't already buy the full set you have lost your mind. It's a hella deal and savings.

So first, we have Motorboat Madness.  Stunning!!!!  Silver grey with the most stunning silver shimmer.  She dries to a slight texture, barely. So if you like a wee bit of texture just leave her as is. Otherwise, slap on some top coat and keep on keepin' on.

 I used two coats here with a top coat.  I think the top coat also made the shimmers POP and come to life!!!  I love grays, so this... it's gorgeous!! Wowza, I just love her!!!  Motorboat madness, in all her glory!!

You know I HAVE to share macros, I might be mildly obsessed with macros because BAM, look at HER!!!

SPARKLE SPARKLE!!!!!  Isn't she BREATHTAKING!!!!  As she should be!!!




Ok, let's move on we have a LOT to get through here... next is a glitter topper. She's funky and wild, maybe a little wonky but in ALL THE RIGHT WAYS!!!  She is, of course, Bewbz & Butts.  (I'm smiling from ear to ear right now, Vegas brings out the freak in everyone.)  AND what is better than just merely Bewbz & Butts?!?!?!  That is RIGHT!!!  You win, WE win!!!  Bewbz & Butts over Motorboat Madness.  LOL

Bewbs & Butts is a funky mixture of black, white and red assorted glitters. A micro glitter, rounds, squares. It's fun and a wee bit sassy.  I think this would look great over a LOT of the colors in this collection, so get WILD... try it out. Slap that sexy topper over anything!!!!  She's only one single coat and the glitters practically JUMPED out of the bottle. I didn't have to fish any out, or try to get them. There is a plethora of goodness to go around.

I just did one top coat over the topper and there isn't much rough texture, everything lays smoothly, but you could get funky again NO RULES!!!  Slap two coats of top coat, or just one.  Have fun!!!!   Vegas IS fun!!

This next one is not one that I would normally grab up, but, as my best friend told me last nite, she is "glad that I'm starting to be a girl", and LOVE pinks.  LOL  Yes, guilty. I have NOT been a fan of pinks until recent and NOW... LOOK AT THIS STUNNER!!!!  She is a Handful of Shimmer...

Two coats, smooth buttery formula.  My pictures do NOT do her justice AT ALL!!! She is a bright (but not neon) fuchsia pink red with the most beautiful shimmer. It almost looks like glass flecks because of how she glows but oh no... she SHIMMAH SHIMMAH!!!!  Isn't she SEXY!?!?!  Yes... Handful of Shimmer... PERFECTLY NAMED!!

I didn't want to take this one off.  I was sad that I had NOT placed her at the end of my swatching event, BUT, that just means she's going to make a debut on my nails again and SOON!!!  You NEED her!! If you like reds OR pinks... YOU NEED HER!!!  So you, can have a Handful of Shimmer... all of your nails!!!


Let's keep moving along we are NOT done yet... onto Part 3 of 3...  with Luxor.

Luxor is the prettiest shade of buttery golden.  A linear holo that can just take your breath away and this does look VERY different on different skin tones.  I couldn't quite capture her holo-ness, but she's so buttery.  ANY Vegas collection needs it's gold and here she is...

Two coats, perfect formula and the holo is STRONG LIKE BULL!! I wish I was swatching during the daylight hours I know that the sunshine would have kissed this holo and made her BLOW YOU AWAY!!  I think my macro gives you a better idea... BAM!! HOLO!!!! HOLOOOO!!! 

So you want more?!?!  You're not done yet... you need MORE MEOW!?!? Ok... ok... let's go.  So the next one is beautiful and SPARKLY BARKLY... she has texture.. SPARKLES and TEXTURE and HOLO!!! OH MY!!!!  Yes, that's right, she has it all... Grabby Hands.  Well, if you are a grabby hands, well... then you would have it all too!

Seriously, it's a super ULTRA micro fine holographic GLITTER!!!  YES!!! SPARKLY BARKLY baby!!!  She dries to a gentle texture, and she does eat up top coat. This is two coats of Grabby Hands, and I used two coats of a top coat and she still wanted more, but I loved her RIGHT AS IS!!!

LOOK AT HER!!!!  Do you see that... the holo is SCREAMS LOOK AT ME!!!!  She is another fuchsia pink that back in the day I would NOT have looked twice at but dagnabit, NOW, now I LOVE HER!!!  Easy application, went on very smoothly and then dried to this funky gentle texture. Not too much that you would snag stockings, but then again... who wears stockings?!?!

And now friends... I have saved my absolute favorite for last. Because being last isn't always a bad thing... and tonite, it is a good thing. A VERY good thing!!!

I bring to you Pretty Brown Nipple.  Yes, that is her name. I'm not just throwing crazies out there.  Pretty Brown Nipple.. it is OK, say it with me PRETTY BROWN NIPPLE!  Don't get hung up on a name.  If someone asks what you are wearing and you don't think your audience is ready for Pretty Brown Nipple just come up with something, or just say "something from Ninja Polish". That, is always safe.  Enough rambling friends...

And there... there she is.  The most beautiful perfect cinnamon cocoa brown with the STRONG LIKE BULL linear holo!!!!  Two coats. One top coat.  And... here is my confession.  I've worn her twice since swatching her which was only this week.  I do not do that.  I barely wear a polish twice.  But THREE TIMES.

You can wear her for ANY reason, ANY day, ANY event and look sassy, sexy, stunning, professional, subdued, or just FUNKY!!! She is a win for ALL occasions!!!  Yes, Pretty Brown Nipple is THE perfect color for ANY and ALL events.  Or to just lollygag around the house!!!

Do you see her... that holo?!?! That's in a light box, not even in the full blown Colorado sunshine!!!

Ninja Polish... Vegas Collection Part 1 of 3

That's right, we have a miniseries happening RIGHT HERE!!! Grab your popcorn but don't get too comfortable,  you're going to want to get moving and FAST!!

This past Saturday Ninja launched her newest collection, "Nothing Stays in Vegas".  It's 9 bottles of beauty. The collection technically is 10 bottles, with the Streaking Ninja that I previously reviewed, read more about it here.  So the 9 bottle collection is available NOW as one purchase at a really great price, only $75.00 for ALL NINE!!!  You do realize the savings right?  You need this MEOW!!!

So I'm going to tease you just a wee bit today... Part 1 of 3.  I'll start with 3 of the colors that are part of the collection.  And yes, you need these, "want" isn't even a part of the equation.

First up in these trio of Scandalous business... is the lovely 27th Floor Shenanigans (told you, SHENANIGANS)

She's a stunner. A very sheer, gentle lilac shimmer, PEARLY shimmer with this amazing teal shimmer popping out to say hellooooooo.  Two coats and a top coat. Smooth and buttery formula, no issues.

So feminine yet sassy with that teal shimmer.  Gorgeous and SO pretty!!! I'm not usually a pearl finish kind of girl, but I absolutely did NOT want to take this one off!!!

I love her!!!  Ok... ok... I'm moving on.  So the next one up is Sixlets Floam

Floam is top secret business, only a real Ninja knows about. BUT it is GORGEOUS!!!! Look at those SPARKLY BARKLY GLITTERS!!! Pink, purple green, blue... they are SO pretty!!!  This was three thinner coats with a top coat and I got it nearly opaque.  BEAUTIFUL!!!  Great formula, not too thick at all, easy to apply. GORGEY!!!!

With a little distance it just sparkles and makes you want to look closer. SO pretty!!!  Such attitude in a bottle!

Seriously, and it's smooth, no real texture. (Not that I mind a good texture.)  Just so fun, makes you want to go out and be scandalous... doesn't it?  Ok... maybe if YOU were in Vegas. *wink*

Onto the last one for today... and ugh, I LOVE IT!!!!  Are you sitting?  Are you ready, I mean REALLY ready for it?  I'd hate to just share it and be like BOOM and you're all "oh yea, yawn".  SO WAKE UP!!!!

Ready or not...  here she HE is... Thunder Fever    BAM!!!!  

He's sexy.  He's stunning.  He's waiting to be LOVED!!  YOU NEED TO LOVE HIM!!!  The above macro is two coats WITH a top coat.  PERFECT formula, went on like summer butter. But, hold up... I need to show you the next picture, and then, we'll chat.

This handsome lady killer dries to this soft matte sueded finish. But on my ring finger I used a shiny top coat AND BOOM, the silver shimmers COME TO LIFE!!!  Almost as if he was shaking his bootay RIGHT THERE.  BAM!! 

It's the most perfect shade of navy cobalt blue and with that satin type of finish SEXXXY!!!  So feel free to either leave it naked (as is), OR slap on a top coat MATTE OR SHINY!!! I think you can play with this one and will fall in LOVE with him... any way you want him.
